A cleaning website that answers "what is included"

Every cleaning enquiry is really the same three questions: what do you actually do in the two hours, how much is it, and who exactly is coming into my house. A site that answers them in writing gets the booking.

The trust problem is the whole problem

Cleaning is one of very few services where the customer hands over a key. Price matters, but it is second. What decides the booking is whether the person reading the page believes they know who is coming.

That means naming the things most cleaning sites leave vague: whether staff are employed or subcontracted, whether they are background checked, whether the same cleaner comes each time, and what the insurance covers if something is broken. None of it is expensive to say. Almost nobody says it.

The sections that matter for a cleaning company

What one visit includes, room by room
A checklist, not an adjective. "Kitchen: surfaces, hob, sink, outside of appliances, floor" ends the argument before it starts.
What is extra, listed
Oven interiors, windows, inside cupboards, laundry. Customers do not mind extras; they mind discovering them.
How you price
By hour, by visit, or by property size, and roughly what a typical three bedroom house comes to. A range is enough.
Who comes, and whether it is the same person
Employed or self-employed, vetted how, and whether continuity is guaranteed. This is the single most persuasive paragraph on a cleaning site.
Residential, move-out, and commercial
Three different buyers. Move-out and move-in cleans in particular are high-intent, deadline-driven searches and deserve their own block.
Products, and whether they are yours
Who supplies them, and whether you have a fragrance-free or pet-safe option. Asthma and pets come up constantly.

Cost

$199 to build, $15 a month to host, address from $35 a year, registered to you. Free to look at the finished thing first.

What you actually end up owning

Most ways of getting a website end with you renting one. Cancel a builder subscription and the pages stop existing; there is nothing to take with you because there was never a file. That is the trade you make for the monthly price, and plenty of people make it knowingly.

This is not that. What gets built for you is a WordPress theme: a real folder of files, with its own style.css, index.php and functions.php, that installs through Appearance, Themes, Add New, Upload Theme on any WordPress host in the world. We host it for you at $15 a month so you never have to think about it, and the web address is registered in your name, not ours.

If you ever want to leave, ask for a copy and it is yours: the theme file, the address, the content. You can hand it to any developer and they will recognise exactly what they are looking at, because it is an ordinary WordPress theme and not a proprietary export nobody else can open.

How the build actually runs

You describe the business
The name, what you do, and anything a customer should know. One or two sentences is the whole brief. No sitemap, no wireframe, no discovery call.
The site is built and written
Design, words, layout and licensed photography chosen for your trade, composed into a finished page in about a minute. You see it before you spend anything.
You change what you want to
Click any line of text and type over it. Swap any photo for one of yours, which always looks better. Delete a section you do not want.
You pick the address and go live
Search for the address you want, we register it in your name, point it at the site, secure it with a certificate, and email you when it is live.

What one of these looks like finished

A services example. A cleaning build puts the included-in-a-visit checklist where this one puts the services list. Nothing here is a mock-up: the frame below is a live page, rendered by the same code that builds a customer's site.

Questions

Should I publish prices?

For residential work, a range or a starting figure. Cleaning is priced closely enough between companies that hiding it mostly buys you enquiries from people who will leave when they hear the number.

Can I take bookings through it?

The site carries an enquiry form that emails you. It does not run a calendar or take card payments, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

We do offices as well as houses. One site or two?

One site, two clearly separate sections. Two sites means two lots of hosting, two things to keep current, and your search presence split in half.

How quickly can it be live?

The page is built in about a minute and you can be live the same day. A brand new web address sometimes takes a few hours to start working everywhere.
